For millenia man has battled with his natural enemy in a desperate struggle for life. This enemy has hounded man at every turn, nearly killing him off many times, constantly torturing him by the million, and often killing hundreds of thousands in a single swoop. What is this enemy, you ask? Well, everything. More specifically, however, Nature is our enemy. It kills us, eats us, turns us into soil, blows us up, drowns us, sucks us into crevasses that open up beneath our cities, infects us with disease, pollutes our water (what? come on. fish pee.), and, also, does not produce nearly high enough volumes of sweet and precious crude oil.
I propose to you, o reader, that we wage a war of unparalled proportion against Nature. Let us burn down the forests, shoot the animals (and make their skin into all manner of fancy boots and jackets. also, leather underwear. especially leather underwear), and show Nature who is boss. Nature has been trying to kill us off for millenia, and just when it seems like we are really starting to win the fight, you are telling me to back down? I think not.
Let us conquer this planet, and all inhabitants therein. What's that you say? We already have?
Excellent.
