Sunburned is a kind, and therefore, inaccurate term. A term that conjurs up laughable images of redness, smiling faces in the sun, embarassing tan lines, etc. The reality of sunburn is much harsher. I always forget how weird it feels to be sitting indoors in the dark and feeling like your skin is burning and remember, ah, yes, I cannot wait to get skin cancer. That will be great! Yay! Melanoma! And no, I do not think cancer is funny.
Jokes about cancer are funny though.
